In 2006, Jonathan became Staff Assistant to House of Representatives Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, overseeing a variety of communications and logistics responsibilities. Never a fan of cold weather, Jonathan relocated to sunny Los Angeles in February 2008 to work at a prominent Los Angeles PR agency, where he gained experience managing high-profile accounts. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Georgetown University with a double major in English and Government. While on the Hill, he worked in the Office of Senator Dianne Feinstein, assisting with communications and outreach activities. As a journalist, Andrew has written articles for major online outlets including Slate, Yahoo!, and The Huffington Post; and researched and co-wrote stories for Pierre Thomas and Lisa Stark at ABC World News. Andrew also draws from his experience in entertainment, having worked in development at Discovery Communications, Skydance Productions, and Village Roadshow Pictures. When he isn’t writing about himself in third person, Andrew enjoys playing tennis and continuing his search for LA’s greatest burger.
