THE STORY
The Mauli Ola Foundation is a nonprofit that promotes surfing as a natural form of therapy for individuals living with genetic diseases. Every Fall, pro surfers from all over the world converge on Malibu’s Surfrider Beach to ride the world-famous swells with children suffering from cystic fibrosis. Studies have shown that surfing can be therapeutic to individuals with cystic fibrosis because of salt water’s ability to clear out mucus that builds up in their lungs.
